OOTD - 26.07.2013

Dress - Miss Selfridge
Belt - Off a dress from New Look
Bag - Satchel from Primark (which you cant really see)
Watch - GC
Necklace - Tiffany
Sandals - Primark

This was my outfit for Zoo Lates. This dress is one of those oversized smock dresses so I cinched it in at the waist a bit with a tan coloured belt to match my bag. Its such a comfy fit and a perfect length so it doesn't blow up over my head in the wind! I kept accessories to a minimum with just my GC watch and Tiffany necklace which I wear all day everyday. These sandals are usually comfy but traipsing around London Zoo for four hours they gave me blisters :(. Obviously, cant forget the giraffe ears which I picked up as soon as I got in the zoo! I think they just pull my whole outfit together, what do you think?

Zoo Lates at London Zoo | July 26th 2013 (Photo Heavy)

On Friday night I went to Zoo Lates at London Zoo with my boyfriend and a few of our friends. The tickets were bought for my boyfriends birthday back in March so I've been counting down the days since then! We had such an amazing night but it went so quickly only being open for four hours. On the way up there we stopped off in Camden for a drink and some dinner at wagamamas as we were quite early. We arrived at the zoo about 20 minutes after it had opened and it was already so busy! We went straight to the beer tent and got a drink and wandered round some of the animals before our other friends arrived to meet us. I ended up getting quite tipsy which was hilarious - being drunk at the zoo is so much fun haha. We didn't manage to go into the rainforest as they wouldn't let us in with our drinks which was annoying because that was the part I was probably looking forward to the most. As you can see in the first picture we bought some giraffe ears which were so adorable! We had a slow walk round and ended up in the reptile house which was amazing - snakes are such cool creatures. We never managed to see the penguins, giraffes or gorillas as they were closed by the time we got round to them. They actually closed the gorillas early because they were getting angry which we thought was quite funny? It did seem a bit strange though that all the animals bedtime was 9pm when Zoo Lates was on till 10pm - what are you meant to do for that last hour? We wondered round the gift shop trying on animal masks! Overall, a really fun night and I will definitely be returning next year.

Zoo Lates is held every Friday night in June & July. You can buy tickets around February/March time on the ZSL London Zoo website.

REVIEW - Rimmel London's Scandaleyes 24h Waterproof Eye Shadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige (002)

I purchased this Scandaleyes eye shadow stick quite a few months back when they were all the hype. I bought it in Bulletproof beige which transfers onto the eyelid as a shimmery light brown colour. I haven't got round to posting this review for so long because its just not something that I want to wear on a daily basis because I don't think its an amazing product. It does have incredibly high pigment and there's no fallout whatsoever but the lasting time is very poor; no longer than 2 hours. It also creases on the lid which I hate. I love the colour & im thinking about purchasing the purple (Paranoid Purple) for my waterline. When I first purchased it I was wearing it quite often to see if I could get on with it but I just couldn't. I didn't actually try blending it out with a brush so maybe that could be done to see how it stays.

What are your views on the Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks? I purchased mine from Boots for £4.49 - bear in mind there is always some sort of 3for2 or BOGOHP offer.

OOTD - 20.07.13

This is the outfit I wore Saturday night down in Kent for my friend Hannah's birthday which you can read all about here. I bought this dress from Topshop in the sale for a massive bargain of £15 - I cant find it on the website so im guessing that means its sold out? It did come in black, white & a peachy coral colour as well. The picture doesn't really show you the sides of the dress well but its got a floral cut out patch just on the ribs. Its so comfortable which was what I was looking for because I knew I would be dancing all night! The size im wearing is actually a 6 which I found super weird because im usually a 10 and didn't even realise it was a 6 until I had it on, very strange but the fit is perfect.

My necklace is also Topshop and I cannot find it on the website, sorry! It also comes it gold but I wanted something simple because my dress had the floral design & I didn't want something that took the attention away from that. My sandals are from Primark which I got last year and I love them so much, they're plastic so easy to clean and the little diamantes are so cute. My watch is GC which I got for Christmas and my ring is also Topshop - I got it a good few months back. Excuse the hairband on my wrist haha, the peace bracelet & red skull bead bracelet are Dirty Dolly which are a handmade jewellery company run by my friends Leoni, Shelly & Gemma. If you haven't heard of them definitely go check them out because they have amazing pieces & are purse friendly - win win! My silver ball bracelet I got for my birthday and I have no idea where its from, sorry!
Lastly, on my nails is Be Happy from Sinful Colours which I am so in love with at the moment.

My Summer Make-Up Look

Since this lovely, glorious weather started my make up routine has severely gone down hill. I don't know about you but there's just something about heat that makes me not want to put make up on? Im putting it on while sweating which is just gross, for the first few days I was literally wearing mascara and that was it but I figured I needed some sort of base. I have been wearing 4 products on my face - yes, four! - so you can imagine how simple it is but it just works in this weather!

I start off by cleansing my skin and moisturising before I apply Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer* to under my eyes, on my chin, nose, cheeks & a couple of splodges on my forehead; may be a waste of concealer but its actually got amazing coverage. Every blogger out there knows its brill so im not going to chat about it for too long. I work it into my skin using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush because I actually find this the best brush to apply my base with. I think my brush only comes in the Core Collection set as I cant find a separate link for it?
After purchasing Collection's Colour Lash in Clear* (I can't find a link to it but it was purchased from Boots.) at the #hertsbedsmeetup at the beginning of this month I have been using it to tame my brows! It does a really impressive job at keeping them in tact all day long, mine are very unruly and stick up in all directions if I don't do anything to them; especially at the moment as I am trying to grow them out slightly.
Ive just realised 3/4 of these products are Collection haha. I've been applying Collection's Extreme 24hr Felt Tip Liner to just below my bottom lashes/underneath my water line for some definition because I feel really naked without some liner! This is the best eyeliner I've ever used and its literally lasted me about 4 months & I use it everyday which I think is amazing for a felt tip liner. When im going out out I do use this to apply a cat flick but in this heat that's just too much.
Lastly but not least is the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara which I apply two or three coats of to my top lashes. I do usually like a defined bottom lash but this mascara tends to smudge on my bottom lashes and its just hot for bottom lash mascara!

Have you done a Summer make-up look? What are your top picks?
Hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather!

Photo Diary #7

Monday morning selfie with a plait in my hair // coral & gold combo on my nails // managed to nab a feast from the ice cream man! // finally went to see World War Z with my boyfriend & some friends // selfie // me & my boy // costas peach iced lemonade are delish in this weather // in love with this mint green colour // went to Kent to celebrate my friend Hannah's 21st!

Well I almost forgot to post this photo diary! Finished my post all about my weekend in Kent, shut my laptop down and began catching up on unread posts on Bloglovin' then thought 'OMG I need to do a Photo Diary!' haha. I feel like the last two weeks have gone uber fast and im still not photographing enough to do a Photo Diary every Sunday which I would definitely prefer. Obviously I've taken more than 9 pictures the past two weeks but they're not really worthy enough to make it. I think my summers resolution will be to photograph what I do more!

July has actually been quite busy for me where I've been working all week and then had something to do every weekend! I finally got to see World War Z and it was bloody brilliant let me tell you! I wasn't actually too knowledgeable on what it was about because I thought the trailer really didn't give much away but it was full of so much action and it was so scary! I went with my boyfriend and throughout the whole film I had my hand round his arm constantly squeezing it because I was scared haha. After seeing it and LOVING it I don't understand how anyone can slate it, I think its one of the best films I have seen in a long while. Last weekend I had a fundraising night to attend; it was to raise money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care and it was such a fun night, probably got a bit too merry. So last Sunday I was literally dying haha. Obviously, this weekend I went to Kent which you can read all about here so I wont go into detail about again.

Tomorrow is the hottest day of the coming week and im working all day, boo :(. But I do have Friday off as me & the boyfriend are going to Zoo Lates at London Zoo which I am SO excited about!
I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend and have a lovely week in the sunshine whatever your doing!
I'll be posting again in a couple of days.

My Weekend in Kent

Hello! So, this weekend I travelled down to lovely Kent to see one of my best buds Hannah, from college, it was her 21st birthday so she had a lovely garden BBQ party at her house which was set up so beautiful! She's also going travelling in September for a WHOLE YEAR with our other best bud Chloe, they're going to Australia, Thailand & New Zealand so it was kind of a goodbye for a year party as well. Yesterday was the first day in 2 weeks that it wasn't scorchio weather which was a shame but it didn't spoil everyone's party mood! Plenty of pimms was drunk & people had their dancing shoes on!

Hannah's parents hired a humongous marquee for the occasion which was amazing. At the back of the marquee which you cant see very well was all the alcohol in two massive fridges - which were also hired. Lots of little white tables & chairs were scattered round the garden which made the party feel like a really summery garden party. She also had a DJ (who was her postman haha) who played all the best songs!

This little gazebo here sheltered all the food; we managed to get a table right next to it so didn't have to travel far when we wanted second helpings! The BBQ burgers were delicious and the tuna pasta and potato salad was just so yummy. Heads up to the chefs!
This amazing fire pit was lit up as night fell and it got rather chilly. Everyone sat round it, ate more BBQ food & sang camp fire songs!

Hannah's beautiful white cake with red roses!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH!

The Pimms table definitely went down a treat! We went through 3 litres of pimms and Chloe was the master of making it!

I had such a good weekend; lots of dancing and plenty of drinking!! I hope you both have the most amazing time travelling ladies and I will miss you both so, so much. Thank you for a great weekend Hannah I hope you enjoyed yourself!
